Fugatto

FABIO MACERA completed his studies with E. Traverso and got his diploma in organ and organ composition at the Conservatoire "G. Cantelli" in Novara.
He investigated different interpretative and performance aspects during several coursesrun by famous professors such as H. Vogel, Chr. Stembridge, D. Hunter, M. Radulescu and G. Bovet.
Furthermore he improved his knowledge of ancient music and French Symphonic music with J.P. Lecaudey at the École de Music de Saint-Remy-de-Provence.
He has performed many concerts in Italy and abroad taking part in different festival and organ reviews both as solo organist and as accompanist for solo voices, choirs and instrumentalists.
In December 2015 attended the "Auditions d'orgue" at the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.
He has also recorded for the French record company Fugatto.
He was a member of the Diocesan Commission for the organs of the Diocese of Chiavari for which he cooperated in the cataloguing of the organs and in the realization of the Volume "Gli Organi della Diocesi di Chiavari" published on the occasion of the Jubilee in 2000.
He is the artistic director of the International Organ Festival "Armonie Sacre percorrendo le Terre di Liguria" and a founding member of the Orchestra "Jean Sibelius" in Rapallo.
He performs as organist on the historic Serassi organ at the Sanctuary of SS. Crocifisso in Borzonasca (Genoa) and at the Arcipresbiterale Basilica of SS. Gervasio and Protasio in Rapallo.
